Our safari to Kenya’s famous Masai Mara in September is now nearly full. This nine day safari coincides with the most likely time to witness the amazing spectacle of vast herds of Wildebeest, Zebra and Gazelle migrating into the Masai Mara from Tanzania, and gives the opportunity to see them crossing the mighty Mara river. We will also search for some of the stars of BBC’s Big Cat Week as well as a huge range of other animals and birds.
We stay in a small camp centred in a conservancy adjacent to the reserve itself. The local game viewing for all the Big Cats and other wildlife is superb and we are close to the rivers where the Great Migration takes place.
The small group of no more than 8 people will be escorted by and receive photographic guidance from Peter Smart who has led over 40 safaris in the Masai Mara and many other overseas tours around the world. Peter has just returned from leading our Kenya: A Taste of Africa trip (which will also be running in January 2013) and, as always, witnessed some amazing wildlife and enjoyed fantastic photographic opportunities with the group.
Full details of the trip may be found in the Worldwide Tours section of our web site along with reports from our annual trips over nearly 10 years that we have been offering this ever popular safari.
Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions or wish to reserve a place to witness Kenya: The Great Migration.
