Our introduction to DSLR photography is a great way to begin the process of getting the best out of digital SLR cameras. The three day training session’s level 1, 2 and 3 will take you through a logical process of mastering the camera's control. Each of the 3 days include 3 training sessions, 2 practical tutorials where you will have the opportunity to put your new found knowledge into practice.
A key feature of these training sessions is very small group sizes with only 4 delegates on any given day. In this way we are able to really concentrate on every individual and make sure they are explained in a way that everyone understands and can relate to their personal equipment.
Day 1 level 1 day aims to cover the following topics:
Camera Basics (coming off auto)
ISO
Exposure Compensation (Histograms)
White Balance
Composition
Picture Styles/Image optimisation
File Types (Jpeg/RAW)
Basic Workflow
Day 2 level 2 day aims to cover the following topics:
Aperture
Depth of Field
Shutters speeds
The control of movement
Controlling the light
Exposure and Focusing Modes
Day 3 level 3 day aims to cover the following topics:
SLR Lenses, Wide Angle, Telephoto and Macro
Controlling Light, Basic enhancements, Reflectors and Flash
Tripods, Monopods and Beanbags
Each day begins with meeting your tutor and setting out the objectives for the day over a welcome tea/coffee we will then spend the morning on the first of 3 training sessions followed by a practical tutorial. We will then break for a well earned sandwich lunch at the nearby pub with the opportunity to cover more topics in the second training module. The afternoon will begin with our second practical session and we will then return to the office for the 3rd and final training session and end the afternoon with question and answers.
