|LOCATION||Knowsley Safari Park, Merseyside|
|TIME||18:00 to 21:00|
Owls always make great subject for pictures, and many photographers want to have Owl images included in their portfolios. Whilst there are numerous opportunities for seeing these birds in captivity, our special ‘Summer Evening Owl Workshop’ is different, as we will solely focus on native species, not only in perfectly natural settings but also at the perfect time of day!
This session aims to offer a range of professional grade opportunities to capture images of both static and flying birds in a near wild environment. During this exclusive evening event we will carefully select subjects and locations with high quality results as our goal. We will take time to ensure each bird species is presented in as an authentic way as possible and will work with the evening light to create evocative images of Owls as we might hope to see them.
Our venue for this workshop is the beautiful, varied parkland and woodland bordering Knowsley Safari Park. This private, un-spoilt area provides a perfect backdrop for such species as Tawny Owl, Barn Owl, Little Owl, Great Grey Owl and Long Eared Owl. We will work closely with our expert Falconer to ensure the best birds are selected on any given day and we will even consider factors such as the forecasted weather conditions.
Each ‘Summer Evening Owl’ session is supported by a Wild Arena tutor, who will offer guidance and advice on getting the best results based on everyone’s individual needs and expectations.
During the briefing session the guide will talk the group through the best camera settings and ways in which we can refine our results for high quality and naturalistic images. Additional topics covered will be how to shoot images creatively in fading light, using flash for fill in effects and creative use of color in images.
Our aim with the ‘Summer Evening Owl Photography Workshop’ is to photograph native Owl species in perfectly natural settings and in the best evening light, to ensure the highest quality results. We will also check that every guest receives individual advice and support for their personal images.
