With everyone stuck at home, we thought we would try and entertain everyone by the things that occupy our day, whilst being isolated in the middle of the Safari Park.

Wild Arena & Covid 19 – 24th March 2020

Following the Government statement yesterday (23rd March 2020) and the constantly evolving advice we are receiving, we have now modified our business operation plans for the next 6 weeks (17/03/20 – 30/04/20).

Events at Wild Arena and Knowsley Safari Park. – Updated (24.03.20)

In light of the Governments requirement for complete social isolation for the next 3 weeks we have now also postponed all events held at both Wild Arena and Knowsley Safari Park until 30/04/20.  We are aware that this may cause disappointment and complications and we will as soon as we are able schedule further alternative dates in May, June, July and September to provide customers with alternatives.

All customers affected by these changes will be contacted directly as quickly as possible.

Events at Woburn Safari Park.

Following conversations with our colleagues at Woburn and in light of Woburn’s relative proximity to London, we have decided to postpone all dates that have been scheduled during the above period. We are aware that this may cause disappointment and complications and we are in the process of scheduling an unprecedented number of alternative weekend dates in May, June and September to provide customers with alternatives.

All customers affected by these changes will be contacted directly as quickly as possible.

Events at other locations. – Updated (24.03.20)

As per the Government instructions for complete social isolation we will now be postponing all other events until 30/04/20.

All customers affected by these changes will be contracted directly as quickly as possible for alternative dates to be arranged.

In summary if you have not been contacted directly to advise of your event needing to be postponed it should still be running. Again, any customers who have concerns about this can contact us to discuss these arrangements.

We will obviously continue to monitor the latest Government health advice and may update these arrangements in the coming weeks as necessary.

Ongoing precautions at Wild Arena.

Our guides:

We will of course be monitoring our guides for any signs of the virus and removing and isolating them and other guides they have had contact with, should the need arise. We do run tours but currently none of our guides have been out of the country in the last 4 weeks.

Vehicle Based Workshops:

Tissues will be available for all customers.  Each vehicle will have a lidded rubbish bin within it for the disposal of used tissues, which will be emptied between each event.  Each vehicle will also have a supply of hand sanitiser fluid for customers to use as appropriate.  Each vehicle will also have a supply of disinfectant wipes (biodegradable where possible) for customers to use if they wish. Please also wear appropriate outdoor/warm clothing as the vehicle windows will be open for as much of the time as possible.

We will disinfect all regularly used surfaces between events.

Studio Based Workshops:

Tissues will be available for all customers.  The studio is equipped with a lidded rubbish bin for the disposal of used tissues, which will be emptied between each event.  There will also be a supply of hand sanitiser fluid available in the studio for customers to use as appropriate.  There are also hand washing facilities available in the W.C.

We will disinfect all regularly used surfaces between each use of the studio.

I think we are all a little depressed with the constant stream of advise and news about the Coronovirus and of course, we do all have to take that seriously. But here at Wild Arena we have been trying to think of events that we can offer at this time and ‘One to One’ sessions are perfect! You can’t get a smaller group size than one and with our extra measures for cleaning and hand sanitizing you couldn’t be in safer hands. Let’s also be honest, we like many other business’s are struggling with the shutdown, so these really are crazy prices and absolutely ‘one time’ offers to see us through these very challenging times. So if you can support us and fancy a great day out photographing these amazing subjects then just read on!

We have always been very proud of our studio facilities and we can offer lots of variety and choice on our One to One days or half days, from photographing frogs in the rain to mantis in the golden light, all with the help of your Wild Arena guide and the amazingly patient small animal team here at Park Farm.
