Neil McIntyre has been photographing the stunning wildlife of the Scottish Highlands for nearly 40 years. During his long and distinguished career, he has become widely respected not only for his undoubted skill with a camera but also his passion for portraying the priceless experiences encounters with the natural world provide.
During this 1.5 hour live ‘Zoom’ video conference presentation, David Southard from Wild Arena, will chat to Neil about the origins of his passion for photography and how this has evolved into his deep understanding of specific native species. We hope Neil will share some beautiful images to illustrate this journey and share some of his wealth of experience with us as we take a journey through the majestic wildlife of the Scottish Highlands.
Neil’s work is widely published and used in many national magazines like the BBC Wildlife magazine and national newspapers. Organisations like the Scottish Natural Heritage, the Cairngorms National Park Authority and the John Muir Trust are also amongst his clients. In addition to these, his images have also featured in over 25 books.
Over the years he has won several awards in the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition including the ‘Eric Hoskings’ Award in two consecutive years, he has also been a category runner up and had a further four images highly commended.
