It can sometimes be difficult to get a truly objective opinion on a photographic project or recent work, without the other persons personal views or preferences overshadowing good advice. At Wild Arena, we are able to give just such an objective critique.

Our personalised ‘1-to-1 Review’ gives our guests a chance to send in, a set of work and have it objectively and constructively reviewed.  We can consider if the images are being prepared for a specific application such as a club competition, qualification panel or competition entry and match our comments to external rules & criteria as required.  We will also take into consideration the level of experience of our guests and set our views within this context.

We normally ask guests to submit around 10 images that they have already carefully selected. This should enable us to give each image enough time to constructively review them; however higher numbers of images may be possible with prior arrangement.

Over a relaxed and informal 30 minute call we will run through reviewed digital work and will endeavour to reach constructive conclusions that will enable the photographer to see their work in context.  We will complete a review assessment, which will include suggested points to consider for improvement.

The reviews normally take place over a zoom or telephone call. Alternatively you can send your images to us for review and we will feedback via email.

The goal of this session is a constructive, friendly and objective review of a guests’ work, considering any necessary external criteria and resulting in a review assessment.

Once a One-to-One Review is booked we will ask you to submit your images for us to assess, based on a simple criteria. We will then agree a schedule time for a Skype or telephone call to discuss your images in detail. This call usually lasts about 1 hour. If you rather a written review, we can e-mail out a detailed response, normally within 1 week of the images initial submission.

Please note: Our ‘1-to-1 Review’ sessions are designed to give honest, constructive and accurate feedback based on our views.  Of course, ultimately, these thoughts are merely a single opinion and may not necessarily conform to the views of others.  It should be remembered that as a creative discipline, the merits of photographic work are always potentially subjective.
