Oliver has a lot of experience photographing the night sky in the UK, Iceland, Norway and 7 years of working in Northern Sweden. In this talk, he will share some of this wealth of experience with hints, tips and ideas to improve your understanding of this more technical area of photography.

He will also show a selection of his images and outline the stories and techniques that sit behind them. Whether it’s stars, the northern lights or other astrological subjects there should be something in this great presentation for everyone!

About Oliver Wright:

Oliver is a professional photographer and works in various locations around the world as a full-time photography guide. For the last 7 years, he has spent a lot of time in Abisko Northern Sweden guiding clients to photograph winter landscapes and the Northern Lights. He is extremely passionate about photography and is multi-disciplined in numerous photographic subjects.

For five consecutive years his wildlife and macro work has been in the British Wildlife Photography Awards.  He has also been in the national press numerous times and also in BBC Wildlife, New Scientist, Digital Photography and Grand Designs magazine.

His goal in photography, as well as in life, is “to ensure that everything is done as well as it can be” and therefore he tries to constantly learn and push his boundaries of his work.
