Over the past decade our team of guides have travelled extensively shooting images, watching wildlife and having fun! We don’t claim to have the biggest range of photography tours, but what we do have is a selection of hand picked trips that we think offer the best photography potential and value for money. Reserve a place on any of our tours and expeditions with no deposit payable until after UK travel restrictions are lifted! We completely understand the uncertainty that currently surrounds both domestic and international leisure travel so in order to make life simple for our customers, we are happy to fully reserve a place on any tour or expedition, without the need for deposit payment, until after the UK government lifts relevant travel restrictions. At this point we will then contact each reservation holder and ask if they wish to proceed with the booking and only then request the normal deposit payment within 7 days. If anyone decides they are not able to proceed, they can do so at no charge.
17th November to 2nd December 2023 - Our ‘Frogs of Sri Lanka’ photography tour is a rare opportunity to travel to this beautiful country and photograph the breath-taking wildlife. The trip hopes to balance an almost unique level of focus on the frogs and smaller animals found in Sri Lanka, with other nature subjects, culminating in a final 3 days of ‘safari’ style expeditions in Wilpattu, where we will concentrate on iconic, bigger species such as Leopard and Asian Elephant.
2023 Dates coming soon - Our 10-day (9 night) expedition will include 6 full days ‘on the ground’ with unique time spent in the company of the MPCP team. We will be staying in the beautiful location of Spekes camp, strategically positioned just a short distance from the main Mara Reserve boundary and close to the headquarters of the MPCP team. Our objective is to not only get a unique chance to experience & support conservation research ‘on the ground’ but also to have the opportunity to photograph the breath-taking wildlife with some element of a different perspective.
21st to 28th November 2023 - We have been visiting this beautiful part of Norway for many years and feel it is still the number one place in Europe for photographing White Tailed Sea Eagles and Golden Eagles. Our guide, Ole Martin Dahle, has been working with these birds for decades and his expertise in delivering great opportunities for photographers is near legendary.
Africa has to be perhaps the most iconic destination for any wildlife photographer. The choice of safari however, can be bewildering but we hope our ‘Botswana, African Adventure’ tour provides the perfect combination of ingredients for the discerning, nature loving photographer!
2nd to 6th February 2024 - The majestic Dalmatian Pelicans of lake Kerkini in northern Greece have become an iconic subject within European bird species. These large and impressive water birds have all the characteristics of a great photographic subject being both visually impressive and highly tolerant to being approached. The local fisherman on the lake, have a long history of working alongside the birds, and this provides superb opportunities for images at very close quarters. Our ‘Winter Pelican’ trips offer the chance for expert guided access in small and friendly groups to these amazing birds resulting in memorable images for everyone attending.

25th to 29th April 2024 - The Eastern border of Finland with Russia is home to the magnificent European Brown Bear. This normally shy and reclusive mammal, comparable in size to the Grizzly, roams through these beautiful forests in the search for food. It is to this quiet corner of Finland that our tour will take you in search of these magnificent mammals. 2023 will be Wild Arena’s 19th year at this amazing site and we regard it as one of Europe’s true wildlife highlights.
30th June to 7th July 2023 - Our ‘Brown Bear Summer light and cubs’ trip is special not only because we are exclusively using the smaller professional grade hides but also because we are visiting at the best time of year for seeing Bears with cubs in the beautiful summer light. July usually provides the highest level of Bear visits in the season so there should be a range of opportunities of different individuals and behaviours.
