About
Forsinard Lodge sits amongst some of the most wild and unspoilt scenery in northern Scotland. Located about 1km outside of the tiny hamlet of Forsinard, the lodge dates back to 1870 and has had a long and colourful history as a hunting and fishing lodge, initially as part of the Duke of Sutherland’s estates and then independently as the main house for Forsinard estate. For the past 20 years, the vast area of sheltered strath and ancient peat bog around the lodge has been owned and managed by the RSPB and forms their largest nature reserve at 21,000 hectares.
The lodge itself, sits within 4 acres of grounds beside the Halladale River and overlooks the beautiful hill of Benn Griam Beg. We have 3 beautifully appointed guest rooms and a pretty little tearoom that, we hope, can satisfy the needs of travellers and welcome guests alike!

Recently renovated Ashills sits to the left of the Tea Room offering views over the front of Forsinard Lodge to the burn and over to the mountains to the right of the lodge.
The room has en-suite facilities, tea and coffee making equipment along with a small desk for working.

The room has en-suite facilities, tea and coffee making equipment along with a small desk for working. This room has in interconnecting hallway with Havaig for guests who are staying together.

Recently renovated Havaig has its own entrance to the right of the Tea Room with en-suite bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities and its own desk.
This room has an interconnecting hallway with Calgary for guests who are staying together.
