Your Stay
You'll stay at our beautiful Lodge in the heart of Unesco World Heritage Flow Country

What You Can Expect During Your Stay
You’ll stay at Forsinard Lodge, surrounded by the quiet beauty of the northern Highlands. Warm, comfortable en-suite rooms, home-cooked meals and a relaxed atmosphere allow you to fully focus on learning and creativity.
This immersive retreat is centred around a single goal: giving you the time, structure and support to concentrate deeply on developing your photography. Each day introduces new compositional ideas in a carefully designed sequence, with practical application in the field and reflective discussion in the evenings.
By the end of the week, you will have a stronger understanding of how and why images work, and the confidence to apply these principles in your own photographic practice.
Creative
Creativity in photography grows from understanding how visual elements work together. This masterclass will help you develop both the technical and creative foundations of composition, enabling you to create images that communicate clearly and with intention.
Through varied locations and challenges, you will build a personal approach to image-making that reflects your own vision.
Learning
This is a focused and structured learning experience. Each day introduces new concepts, supported by guided practice, evening summaries and your personal learning log.
The course covers theory and ideas relevant to all photographic media, whether you work with digital or analogue cameras. With very small groups, you’ll receive tailored support and the opportunity to ask questions and explore ideas in depth.
Discover
Every immersive retreat is also a journey of discovery. Alongside developing new skills, you’ll experience inspiring landscapes and hidden locations that open fresh possibilities for your photography.
We hope you leave not only with new knowledge, but with a renewed sense of purpose and excitement in your creative work.
