Inverness Street Photography Walk Workshop

Inspired Experience | Street Photography in the Scottish North

Street photography is full of possibility. From architecture, shapes, light and shadow to people, pets and everyday moments, there’s always something interesting to capture.

Inverness is the perfect setting for a street-inspired photo walk, and we’re really excited to explore this lovely city with a group of like-minded photographers.

Our Inspired Photo Walks are relaxed, friendly meet-ups designed to combine fresh air with creative encouragement. They’re ideal if you’d like some light guidance, inspiring surroundings and good company, without the intensity of a formal workshop. And of course, there will always be a hot drink and a biscuit to keep us going!

We’ll meet at a central location in Inverness before wandering through the streets, along the river, past the castle and over to the cathedral, all the while keeping an eye out for interesting images.

What You Can Expect During Your Session

Our Photo Walks are built around three simple ideas:

Community

It’s refreshing to spend time with people who share your passion. These walks create space for conversation, encouragement and shared inspiration.

Creativity

A city environment offers a rich variety of subjects. You’ll be encouraged to experiment—whether that’s working with light and shadow, colour or black & white, or capturing fleeting moments.

Light Guidance

While not intensive workshops, your guides will be on hand throughout the day to answer questions, offer technical tips and suggest creative approaches.

Creative

With such a rich “buffet” of subjects, street photography offers endless creative possibilities. From buildings and people to abstract details, there’s always something new to explore and enjoy.

Learning

Sharing a day with other photographers is one of the most enjoyable ways to learn. Whether it’s a useful camera tip, a new technique or simply a different way of seeing, inspiration often comes from those around you.

Discover

Inverness is a fantastic small city to explore with a camera, full of interesting scenes and unexpected moments.

You’ll not only discover new locations, but also new ideas, both from your guide and from fellow photographers.
